It gives me great pleasure to welcome David Hadley, of A Tangled Rope as our newest member of Blogpower. I know he has some links already to members of this group but if you are not familiar with his site please go over and explore and introduce yourself in the comment section.
His site has now been added to the blogroll and I am sure he will be displaying it along with the BP banner very shortly, as a fully fledged member. Could anyone displaying the html BP blogroll please make this addition to it?

New Member --- No Clue
It gives me great pleasure to welcome the Devonshire Dumpling of No Clue as a new member in Blogpower. Despite the Devonshire moniker, she says: I'm a Londoner born within the sound of Bow bells (so I am an East-Ender) now living in Devon with my spaniel named Raki and my cockatiel called Harry. Does that mean I would not understand a word she said, as I once discovered to my horror when I did a locum in an East End pharmacy? If you are not familiar with her site please go over and explore and introduce yourself in the comment section.
Her site has now been added to the blogroll and I am sure she will be displaying it along with the BP banner very shortly, as a fully fledged member. Could anyone displaying the html BP blogroll please make this addition to it and Matt could you please change the master post? Thank you.

New Member ------ Question That
His site has now been added to the blogroll and I am sure he will be displaying it along with the BP banner very shortly, as a fully fledged member. Could anyone displaying the html BP blogroll please make this addition to it?
As a member of the Libertarian Party in real life, I wonder if Ian would like to join the chapter of the UK Libertarian Party in Second Life, recently formed by fellow Blogpower member Tom Paine and Bag.

New Member -- Cafe Grendel
It gives me great pleasure to welcome "Grendel" of Cafe Grendel as a new member in Blogpower. He delivers all you ever wanted to know about coffee and may I quote: The real Black Gold comes from Beans, not Barrels, and lubricates Minds not Motors. If you are not familiar with his site please go over and explore and introduce yourself in the comment section.
His site has now been added to the blogroll and I am sure he will be displaying it along with the BP banner very shortly, as a fully fledged member.
I hope there will be no confusion between the two Grendels, our new one features quotation marks and the other is simply Grendel. Well it will keep us on our toes.

Sinclair's Musings
Blogpower has recently seen a number of new members coming from what could roughly be called the left-wing; whilst that's a tendency I'm all in favour of, given that our original blogroll did have a distinct list to the right, some others have expressed concerns. Our latest prospective member should provoke very little complaint, as he is a self-confessed conservative, but also a thoughtful and courteous blogger. I invite members to cast an eye over Sinclair's Musings, and leave your thoughts in the comments. The first objection will, as usual, trigger a vote in the mailing list. Don't feel the need to object just because the list has been eerily quiet recently.
*** Update: there have been no objections over the 72 hours, so by general acclamation Matt is in. Welcome aboard, Matt, we're very happy to have you with us. ***

Never Trust a Hippy
So sang the Sex Pistols, and if it's good enough advice for them, then it'll do for me. Paulie's also taken with the line, wonders whether we would like to welcome the blog he named after it into Blogpower. In his email, he writes "I've written a fair bit on blogging itself - and how it positively contributes to public life - and I don't think that the position I take is one that many others adopt - so perhaps I'd be a good addition?" which somewhat pre-empts our internal discussions about what new members may bring to us. It should be noted that Paulie's been posting to this blog for two and a half years, and discusses a variety of other topics as well...
Usual procedure applies: take a look around, see what you think. First objection closes the comments and discussion moves into the mailing list.
UPDATE: No objections were raised in the 72 hours, so Paulie's in. Judging from the comments, he's a popular addition, and I would like to add my own voice in welcoming him aboard.

Hercules
We have another prospective member for your consideration. Hercules describes himself as "A conservative mind with an endearing heart, sometimes cynical, misunderstood, annoying, a bit of a rebel, but definitely caring, sharing, fun and friendly." He blogs to "write random thoughts, share views on the world, laugh, cry, rant and rave, but hopefully ... never offend". Please make your feelings known in the comments. Should an objection be raised, we will take the discussion and vote into the maling list.

Bearwatch
I have had the pleasure of a very erudite request to join us from Sackerson of Bearwatch, which implies the pleasure of asking you, my fellow members, to cast a discerning eye over his thoughts. He concentrates mainly on financial matters, and so should complement the City Unslicker's output. He and James have both touched recently on the potential of valuable metals, although they draw different conclusions. Still, if informed disagreement is not within our uncodified ethos, I am not sure what is. Your remarks in the comments, please. There seems to be an emerging idea that 72 hours is the appropriate time-scale for these matters to be decided, so you have until Friday evening.

New Additions
Two new members of BP this week: Havering On and Mutleythedog.
Havering is a gambit of ideas and posts, from PCness to tourism, you never know what his next post will be about. His latest is about the threat from a PC world.
PC is turning the whole world grey, it is making us boring and I’m bored with it! Political correctness has been described as communal tyranny, and it’s difficult to argue against the premise. But what exactly does it mean.(link)
Read it all, it's a good piece (and while you're there, read his other entries, an ever-changing list to choose from)
Mutley talks about everything from the Solar System to bears and anything in between. With the occasional NSFW picture thrown in for good measure.
Why didn't anyone think to mention that tomorrow was not Friday but Saturday?? I went to work as normal- only no one was there but an Albanian cleaner "What you doin' here man ?" said he. "Its sat day you should be hanging with your broes!!" My petrol gauge stuck at max through this pointless trip.... It has spoiled my weekend. I went home but as I had already eaten my weekday breakfast (Bran flakes) I could not then eat my weekend breakfast (boiled eggs!!) as well.(link)
You never quite know where his posts are going, just that they will be funny. Not quite the sarcasm of others, but enough to keep you giggling long after you close the page.
Finally I've created (modified actually) a banner for this site (I currently use it on my site also) and for anyone that wants to use it. You have to put it right after the body tag in your html.
< type="text/javascript" src="http://www.lordnazh.com/libraries/blog_l_nosearch.js">< /script>
(remove the spaces between '<' and script)
< type="text/javascript" src="http://www.lordnazh.com/libraries/blog_l.js">< /script>
(again remove the spaces) Remember, the body tag is already in your html, you will only add the script.
*Update** add the word script after the '<' in the above scripts, blogger doesn't like to show that.
