Dear James,
It is with the deepest regret that I have received, and now accept, your resignation. As the founder and spirit behind Blogpower you will be much missed.
I should clarify that the decision to put you on temporary moderated status in the mailing list was agreed by all three administrators. The reasons why we felt this was necessary have been well rehearsed and I will not repeat them here.
Thank you on behalf of everyone for all that you have done for Blogpower. Please come back and see us sometimes. We wish you every happiness in the future.
Yours sincerely,
Welshcakes Limoncello, Shades, jmb.

1. Under the rules of Blogpower, you were out of order. Admins do not have that right to downgrade or expel a member without membership discussion of 72 hours. You know that full well.
2. It was petty in the extreme to a long standing admin.
3. The reasons given were also out of order because they misrepresented the position.
The way the admins acted in this whole matter was reprehensible.
Admins:
You state:
"The reasons why we felt this was necessary have been well rehearsed and I will not repeat them here.".
The reasons may have been well-rehearsed but I do not know what they are. Because this action led to a member leaving BP, I want, and deserve, to know why this action was taken. Actions taken against one member may be taken against another at some time. Also if BP is a community of bloggers, and not the preserve of the admins, then actions must be taken in the open.
I hope James' leaving does not mark the end of BP but I fear BP is disintegrating and it will deserve to do so if the "well-rehearsed reasons" are not made public now.
I might have known the moment I joined something it would disintegrate into sectarian warfare. Like calumcarr, I haven't got a clue what this is all about, and as James badgered me into joinimng I would appreciate an explanation, from him or someone else please.
Calum & Bob: There is ongoing discussion in the private mailing list. Email any one of the old admins if you want access there or an explanation.
Bob, the story was posted at my site yesterday.
People know how close BP was to me and that to leave, there had to be pretty sufficient reason.
Has this thing gone too far?
I am not comfortable with the direction this has taken.
Maybe everyone needs to have a think, mend some fences and consider backtracking a little?
I'm out, please remove me from the blog roll.
I'm not at all happy about anyone becoming an unperson.
Phil and Sacherson, full discussion of this matter is in the list.
Dear friends, I know this thing is closed off now and my comment comes a bit late. I did read about the discussion and James' side of things on his website. Being a newcomer to this group, I had no idea who was who and what was what, but it did strike me that this is a most unfortunate outcome.
Maybe, after the dust has settled a bit, we could convince James to come back? I seems to me that losing him is a major loss to this group, and it is a shame to let that happen.
I second Chervil's comment.
I too hope that James will return to Blogpower one day. I'm sure he knows the door is always open to him.
No one wishes James to return to Blogpower more than I do.
It's all very well putting all this one your private mailing list but frankly I can't be arsed signing into yahoo everytime I want to find out what's going on.
Unless this can be rectified I will have no choice but to remove myself from an organisation that has clearly become far too anal for its own good.
