Two Prospectives, Members

First up, The Cornish Democrat and Cornubian claims he's our first Cornish Nationalist. I've been over there and this is what I've found so far:

1. That annoying navigation which has no archives and only lets you go back to "older posts" one page at a time. Perhaps Cornubrian is a new blogger. Can't be sure.

2. Transparency issue - I personally know his real name but I see no "About" for readers except for a widgety thing which doesn't operate at the foot of the page.

Apart from that, fine and Cornubrian asks, "Am I welcome?"

Our second to present to you is Brummie Republic, properly called The People's Republic of Birmingham, which interestingly uses the same Template as Cornubrian. Louis himself says:

I can't put it off any longer. I would love to join the blogpower community whose member tend to share my values of libertarianism, open debate and promotion of smaller blogs.

My blog as its title suggests is based around news and views from the Birmingham area, and discusses many topics from politics to sport. I would describe my politics as left-leaning libertarian (to distinguish myself from libertarians who tend to be right-leaning/ conservative.

In practice this means I am pro free-market and pro civil rights but am passionate about raising the standard of living among poorer people in this country, and hate divisions based particularly around class and race.
Navigation is fine - it's an older blog, addresses Birmingham issues, has a typical "About Me" and seems pretty normal.

So, people, get ye over there and have a look. Usual rules apply.

First post on cornish was in June of '07.

An archive shouldnt' be a requirement for anyone as long as you can get to the older posts (like the older posts link) :)

The Cornish Democrat does have archives, they are right at the bottom of the sidebar near MyBlogLog.

Definitely needs an about section and email contact would be nice, although it does seem to have six contributors listed, plus two other contributors who are not listed but have posted. So do you know one of them James?

Kind of esoteric for me but no objection.

The People's Republic of Birmingham is similarly a bit esoteric for me too, but he does mix it up a bit more with other topics. No objection.

Does anyone else have trouble reading that template? I find it really hard on the eyes.

I'm confused slightly. My About section gives no information about me nor is there an email address listed but this wasn't an issue when I joined. Why is it an issue now for new members?

I misread him as being a "left leaning librarian" - which gave me a few happy moments...
