I got a major question for everyone. What is BP? Why are we a part of it?
Not to sound like I'm complaining :) but my last 100 visitors, 10 were from BP; 3 from this website, 3 from Havering and 4 from others.
One of the purposes (I thought) of BP was to visit each other, comment (although not required) and to help each other. It seems that this is not happening (granted I had 4 unknown visitors that could have been BP but...).
My visits are down from 180 or so a day to 40-50 so the 100 last visits were 2 days worth and that was roughly 4 BP visitors (this is normal, not an anomoly). So I ask, why? I can simply visit you guys to my heart's content without being a member of BP if BP itself means nothing to you.
The burning injustice of discrimination?

I have read your every post, in keeping with my BP commitment. Do I show up? I use Google Reader, rather than visit directly.
I also read read all Blogpower member posts, or at least the first paragraph or two. I try not to comment for the sake of it though.
What is the difference between being in or out of Blogpower? The same as being a frequest visitor at any club- you can enjoy the facilities but it isn't the same as having a feeling of belonging or getting to a position where you can influence direction.
LN, I do get round as many bp blogs as I can and at yours, as I think I have said to you, I don't often comment because I don't feel qualified to do so. Admittedly I've been slower this week as I've been feeling wiped out by the heat here! Bp is a community and I think we pretty much support each other. TO me, it is more than that - it makes me feel part of a family. By the way, I think everyone's UK readership might be down this weekend as it's a holiday one there.
Sorry - now you see how the heat has befuddled me; I am a month ahead of myself - the hol weekend is the end of AUGUST.
Lord Nazh - i don't think anyone's visiting anyone just now. My stats are also down. It's the traditional time for this. I rmeember Tim Worstall calling it the silly season.
It picks up again in September. also, i understood that you were out of blogging for some time and I think that's what people thought.
Lord N- I think Summer in the Northern Hemisphere (School holidays, kids being at home, etc) are bound to have effects on free time available.
My stats are in the doldrums, but quid pro quo, demands on my free time come from the real world.
I will admit that I was under the impression you were taking a back seat at the moment due to external pressures, therefore was checking yourself less vigilantly, but if I have been remiss, I shall certainly amend that!
I try to visit every BP Blog as often as I can... but its not possible to visit them all daily ... Its was a sunny weekend and the beach beckoned...
Mutley - you're completely and utterly right. There's such a thing as having a life.
Also - a lot of people in BP post on serious matters and even if I read them - which I do - its often not appropriate for me to comment as they do not want facetious remarks...
I wasn't talking about comments guys, and as I said, the recent stats aren't anomolies, this is how my visitors have looked since after I joined BP.
I'm just wondering why I don't get visists :)
If you use a bookmark or type it in, of course I won't know if you visit at all.
I use an RSS reader now to read BP blogs - it makes it far easier to keep up with everyone - so I am reading even if I don't show up in the stats!
Now if everyone is using a reader, then I can't track em :)
I'm just trying to find out why (it looks) no one visits my site. Heck I don't want people to visit if they don't like it, but surely more then 3 - 4 BP'ers don't hate it that bad heh
Nazh - i was also under the impression that you were 'resting'
Those bloody readers. It doesn't show up in Sitemeter or MyBlogLog or whatever.
Pommy: I wasn't 'complaining' about now :) even though I posted this now, this has been an ongoing thing for months now. My average BP visit (in the logs) is at most 5 per day.
I've now posted on this.
Help! Is there a (very) lazy person's way to cut 'n paste some html code to get my fellow Blogpower bloggers onto my blog?
TT - why does no one read the sidebar. It's all there in black and white. Contact ian and Bob's your uncle [should you need Bob as your uncle].
