defending the blogosphere

If you'd like to know the nitty gritty about each of us, click on this banner above and it gives you a great overview, due to the hard work of Tom Paine, who constructed and maintains the site using Page Flakes. Thanks too to The Thunderdragon for the banner.
And for those who have a lot of free time, Matt Murrell has constructed a Google Reader Feed of all the Blogpower Blogs. You can get that here.

Without a doubt.
A very worthwhile addition to the family.
Where's the link - I can't find it?
In the sidebar, Wolfie.
anyone brave enough to wear a veil in the heart of fundamentalist christendom has to be worth having has a member.
There are plenty of people in my neck of the woods who could do with reading that to understand that treating people differently just because of a piece of cloth is dehumanising.

We don't really have a mechanism for inviting people to join Blogpower though, at present bloggers need to ask us...
If she knows nothing about us I'm uncomfortable with her having been put in the prospectives sidebar.

I don't really understand your point. She does know about us and is keen to join.
Unless you have some damning emails from someone saying not to let her in, why do we need a vote vis-a-vis admittance?
We don't need a vote and it's not a vote, Lord Nazh. We do need to allow people [BP members] to express themselves if they wish [as Ian Grey has done and others].
It cuts both ways. The incoming member can then rest assured she is really, really welcome and not just what someone like me whom she meets first up, has said.
Your own comment will give her a lot of confidence.
I think that's why it's appropriate. As for Kizzie, that time is now at a close and the majority view was fairly clear.
PommyGranate, it wasn't obvious that you had actually made contact with Kizzie, I was concerned that you had just put her forward to us without her being aware (which you have now made clear she does).
I have no reservations at all beyond that.
All right, people - going out on a limb here and adding her to the roll - OK?
