The Blogpower Express

This has no official approval, but I have put together (using Pageflakes) a "front page" for Blogpower which brings together feeds for all our blogs. Click the heading to this post to have a look.

Tentatively, it's called The Blogpower Express. Even more tentatively, I have assigned our blogs to various tags ("Left of Centre," "Right of Centre," "Non-aligned" etc.) so as to organise them behind tabs. It's all totally flexible so if I have erred, it can be fixed.

Please have a look and let me know what you think. I have tested it in Firefox, Flock, Camino and Safari. It seems to work in all but the last. I believe it works in Internet Explorer too.

Of course if any Blogpowerer can put together something more professional, that would be great. I was just playing to see if it were possible to create an automated "front end" for all our blogs to build the Blogpower brand.

Three Blogpower issues

1] We're having enormous problems accessing the blogroll to update it. Rest assured we're working on this and a solution will be effected before the end of the week.

2] Tom's suggestion is grand and I'm into this straight away. For my own particular situation, please access my site.

3] We are now in Beta and any adjustments which need to be made we'd best make. It wasn't my decision, by the way. When I came back last evening, it wouldn't let me at my site unless I converted - it was the only channel to get to my own site. Then, when I got there, I was informed that ALL my other blogs had also been converted. Sorry if that has put a spanner in the works but I seriously 'knew not what I was doing'.

Guest Bloggers

I have a suggestion. Why don't we each invite a fellow Blogpower member to write one post as a "Guest Author" on our blogs? All blogging software allows the owner of a blog to authorise others to post. If people think this is a good idea, I am quite happy to set the ball rolling by inviting another Blogpower member to be a Guest Author at The Last Ditch. Indeed, I would be happy to make it a monthly feature.

It shouldn't, overall, involve us in more work. The "day off" we get when a Guest Author takes over our blog for a day, would have be made up when we are Guest Authors elsewhere.

Welshcakes Limoncello Testimonials

Update for the sake of it

Things have quietened down a bit, touch wood. Re the blogroll - our blogroller-in-chief appears to be incommunicado just now and so those who, tragically, have departed are still enrolled and one new member today cannot appear just yet until Ian returns. All will be updated as soon as possible.
